LED Technology

The future of lighting. The LED sector seems to be leading the way in the lighting industry, as high growth rates are anticipated in Europe and worldwide until 2020. At the same time, the need for energy saving and for minimization of the energy footprint of lighting make the implementation of LED solutions in indoor and outdoor areas even more imperative.

What is LED exactly?

LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a diode of light emission, or more precisely, a semi-conductor that produces light radiation on the visible spectrum when the appropriate voltage is applied to its ends.

LED luminaires are composed of metallic and electronic elements, as well as point light sources. The LED point light sources are installed in a circuit that is pasted up on the appropriate heat sink, which in its turn manages the dissipation of heat. The entire system is placed within the lighting unit.

Therefore, the benefits that a LED luminaire can offer are the following:
– Energy saving by 60-80%
– Longer life (10+ years)
– Savings>90% in the maintenance of the luminaires in the long run
– Improved quality of light that boosts performance
– Compliance with green development technologies and thus protection of the environment (does not emit UV radiation and does not contain mercury or other toxic elements)

Performance. Use of the most advanced LED components from Philips, Cree and Citizen, allowing for up to 138 lumen/Watt with Colour Rendering Index CRI>=80.

Reliability. A temperature of

Energy saving. 60-70% and 70-80% with Smart LEDNet in comparison to the conventional lighting methods.

Guarantee. All LED luminaires of Sirecled come with a minimum 5-year guarantee.

Safety. With incredibly low temperature of operation (20-25° C above room temperature), the luminaires of Sirecled have the minimum possible effect on thermal pollution, while they prevent from blazes due to overheating.
